I’m Amy, a dog owner of 34 years. I’ve had pointers, cats and small pets since a young age. I started up Simply Dogs Alford to fit in with my family life and love of dogs. Previously I worked professionally for 12 years after finishing university. I completed dog first aid training in my latter years of employment as I had planned on starting my own dog business to fit in with the needs of my family and getting my own dogs walked.

Our family home has been inspected by Aberdeenshire Council who are satisfied we meet the requirements for dog home boarding. We have 2 kids of primary school age and can only take family dogs, suited to living with children.

In the Alford area we are spoilt for choice with amazing walks, whether that be a hike in the forest and hill paths, or a gentle stroll along the river Don, your dogs are sure to enjoy their walk or visit with us. I take pride in sending owners photos of their dogs out walkies or having a cuddle on the sofa.

As a successful business for over three years we have gained experience walking various dog breeds of all ages and sizes, including rescue dogs and cross-breeds. We have also recently bought a second vehicle kitted out with dog crates therefore we have opened up new dog walking availability.

As a team of two we now have availability to care for your pets in your own home with our new pet sitting service.
